Choc protein bars
I’m so excited to share this recipe with you. I hope you try it! It’s a great snack before or after a workout or just to prep for the week.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup of oats (blended)
1 cup of iran dates (soaked)
2 tbsp maple syrup
3-4 tbsp cocao powder
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla
1-2 scoops of protein powder (I used @tropeaka choc honeycomb protein)
Optional
1/4 cup of dark choc chips to melt over the top
HOW:
Soak dates in hot water for 5 mins or until soft! Save the date water to add into the mixture if the mix is dry.
Blend oats I blender until they are fine. If you have a high speed blender you can blend all ingredients together and then press into a slice tin. Otherwise you can mash the soft dates with a fork and mix all ingredients in a bowl.
I melted dark chocolate over the top for some extra crunch and sweetness.
Store in the fridge in an air tight container for the week.
